The 2022 Jeep Gladiator offers superb off-road capabilities, spacious seating, and a convenient infotainment system. The 2022 Jeep Gladiator is a pretty good compact pickup truck. Like its Jeep Wrangler sibling, the Gladiator is extremely roadworthy, offering powerful V6 gas and diesel engines, a 5-foot bed, and plenty of payloads and towing capacity. The interior is spacious and upscale, and the infotainment system is easy to use.
On the other hand, the Gladiator’s solid-axle suspension results in a rough ride and unwieldy handling on the road. The 2022 Jeep Gladiator is worth considering if you want a pickup that can take some serious off-road abuse.

The cabin of the “Gladiator” can hardly be called premium, but it is not completely simple either. The interior feels solid and well-combined with hard and soft-touch plastics, while the styling is chunky and rugged. It should hold up well to use and abuse.
The Gladiator is available with a standard soft top or an optional hard top. Both are relatively easy to install or remove. It is noteworthy that all models also have a folding windshield and removable doors. It makes for a unique fair-weather open-air experience. Still, it also transmits a lot of wind and tire noise into the cabin when it’s buckled up, especially with the soft top. It can get tiring on long trips.
Jeep’s Uconnect infotainment system is one of the easiest to use on the market, and it’s one of the main strengths of the Gladiator’s interior. The standard 7-inch and 8.4-inch touchscreens have clear menus, quick response, and crisp graphics. Both of these are complemented by well-placed buttons and knobs on the dash that makes it easy to adjust audio and climate control settings on the go.

The 2022 Jeep Gladiator comes with two engine options: a 3.6-liter gas V6 with 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque and a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 with 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. Both engines offer an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. Still, only the gas V6 is available with a six-speed manual transmission.
Generally speaking, both engines are up to hauling the Gladiator around town and on the highway. Still, the EcoDiesel engine is more confident in its duties. It develops maximum power at a low of 1,400 rpm. That muscle is available during daily driving and when towing a trailer. A gas engine needs a lot of revving to get a truck moving instantly. He’s willing to do it and is quite sharp but sounds strained.
The six-speed manual transmission is reasonably refined, although its vague clutch engagement can be a burden in stop-and-go traffic. The show’s star is the eight-speed automatic, which shifts gears quickly and smoothly.
