The new 2022 Jeep® Grand Cherokee has a two-line body with a brand new architectural design. The Grand Cherokee is not fast with the V-8 under the hood, but it feels strong enough – and it sounds lovely, with a nice, deep thunder. The eight-speed manual gearbox is responsive and had no problem finding the right gear in a particular situation. The handling features are excellent, if not sporty, due to the rear-wheel-drive platform; some rivals use the front-wheel-drive architecture and may tend to have understeer, or if you prefer to drive all-wheel drive. The Grand Cherokee roams the corners nicely, if not eagerly.

2022 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE SPECS

Jeep says the new Grand Cherokee has a unique design: Long, long and wide, with a wide track to start with. Non-PHEV powertrains are still 293-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 and 357-hp, 5.7-liter V-8, but your power is both reduced by less horsepower compared to the previous generation. It is noticeable, and the car has lost over 300 pounds [300 kg]. The Grand Cherokee still feels very strong on the road compared to its other competitors in the big market, and the feeling of driving sounds unchanged. That, unfortunately, includes some front-facing problems in my living space, where both A-pillars and a rear-view mirror disrupt my line of sight.
